I’ve never done a makeup look on my blog before, nor am I a makeup guru by any means. I enjoy experimenting with my eyeshadow when I wear it but that isn’t often! I’m either bare face or everything but eyeshadow – it’s a lot quicker when I’m going to Uni to leave out that stage completely. It’s a shame because I think it’s the best part of doing your makeup!
When I was approached by FalseEyelashes.co.uk to review some of their eyelashes, I jumped at the chance! I thought it would be a perfect way to integrate makeup looks onto my blog, and give me an excuse to play around with eyeshadow again. In the end I decided to go for a pink glittery makeup look, as I love defying the old “redheads can’t wear pink” mindset – I think it’s a gorgeous colour for redheads, and I hope you like it, too!
Hi guys, and welcome back! Today we’ll be reviewing the September Birchbox. First off, my pros and cons with this month’s box. Pros are that the products are great this month and I’m so excited to try every single one of them. However, there are no full-sized products. And while the box design is pretty, a part of me was expecting something more Autumn-y since we’re now stepping into everybody’s favourite season! That last one, however, isn’t a huge deal.
Now, let’s move on to reviewing the products, shall we?
Hi guys, and welcome back to my August Birchbox review! Sorry that this one has been uploaded later than usual, I’ve been so busy with work this month. Next month, it will definitely be earlier on – and I’m so excited for next month’s box as it comes with a cute Benefit blush sample!
If you’re interested in trying out Birchbox next month and receiving this gorgeous Benefit blusher, you can use my link (here) to get £5 off your first box! I’ll get an extra sample as a gift if you do use my link, so we both get to Benefit (get it?) from this deal.
Now, onto my review! I’m quite happy with this month’s box – I only have a few concerns. But we will get into those as we go.
Hello lovelies, today I’m collaborating with Emma from Out of the Dark and Into the Beauty. We’ll be writing about our top festival beauty essentials – you can check out Emma’s blog post here. She’s such a lovely girl and I’m so excited to be collab-ing with her!
Firstly, and I think this is mostly everybody’s festival staple, is glitter. I feel like even though glitter is such a popular make-up choice anyway, for a glam night out or just when you want to spice up your look, its popularity explodes around the summer/fesitval season. Eyes, lips, cheeks, hair, temples – glitter can and will be found everywhere!
This June Birchbox is five years old, and so released a lovely box to celebrate that this month. First off, the box itself is gorgeous – Birchbox always seem to pull it out of the bag with their packaging. It’s a tin box, with floral patterns, as you can see. It’s supposed to resemble and old style English biscuit box, which ties in with their extra gift that they gave away this month. I’ll definitely be reusing this!
The free 6th gift that we got this month was a pack of 3 different teas from Whittards. It came in a cute box with similar patterns to the Birchbox tin, and I received 1 Earl Grey, 1 Lemon and Ginger, and 1 Mango and Bergamot. Unfortunately, you won’t see them in any of my pictures as I shared and drank them with my parents as soon as my delivery arrived (oops) and forgot to save the packaging!
I tried the Mango and Bergamot tea and it was delicious, and not too overpowering in flavour!
