Last month I didn’t get around to writing in my bullet journal, or posting a spread on here as I was in the middle of my exams and just didn’t have the time. But this month I’ve managed to get it organised in advance! So, let’s take a tour through my June bullet journal set-up.
Like before, I am not very artistic and I’m still trying to find my style so every month is pretty simple, but different. Hopefully you still like reading these kinds of blog posts from me, as I really enjoy doing them! I’m currently taking inspiration from Pinterest, and have a board just for bullet journalling! If you want to check out my Pinterest and bullet journal board, you can do so here and here.
So far, I have only written down a spread for the 1st week on June. As I’ve mentioned before I also use my journal as a diary to write down my thoughts and feelings. So, to try keep the happenings of each week together, I organise my bullet journal week by week.
I’ve wanted to try out a make-up subscription for awhile now, and decided on Birchbox as I see it a lot on other blogs. This is my first month so I’m not 100% sure what my thoughts are on the subscription as a whole, but I’m happy with my May Birchbox. And the print on the physical box is super cute, too!
I was able to pick one item in my box, or rather the colour of the item, which I thought was cool. I would rather you got to pick the item itself, but it’s still nice having an option of some kind. Especially since mine was lipstick, and it would be fairly pointless to pay for a subscription and get a make-up item in a colour that you don’t like or that doesn’t suit you.
Moving on, let’s see what else I got in the box!
I’ve been wanting to update all my beauty products and make a slow transition into using more cruelty-free brands, and I had heard good things about The Body Shop’s Tea Tree primer, so I popped in to pick one up for myself and ended up walking away with a lot more… I thought I’d show you guys what’s in my The Body Shop haul and my thoughts on what I’ve used so far!
I’ve used Mary Berry’s banana bread recipe for years now, and it’s by far my favourite. It’s so fluffy and tastes amazing! It’s a huge favourite of my University friends as well when I make it, and completely foolproof.
I decided to make a loaf the other day with my boyfriend, so thought I’d share with you my take on Mary Berry’s banana bread recipe!
A couple of weeks ago, amidst some exam stress, I did a bit of online shopping and managed to bag myself an amazing deal with Tarte Cosmetics! They were offering a make-up bag filled with 6 full sized products for only £56 (however, usually the entire purchase would be worth £180+). Apparently they do this once or twice every year. I’ve always wanted to try out their make-up so I couldn’t really resist! I thought it would be perfect to share my Tarte Cosmetics haul with you, today.
It did take a couple of weeks to get to me, which was made clear on the website when I purchased it since there was such a high demand for this deal, but I received it a few days ago and I was so excited I had to start writing about them ASAP.
I’ve only tried out these products a couple of times, but I will be coming back to review them at a later date when I’ve played around with them first. For now, I’ll just be doing a first impressions / look at what I bought.
