Popcorn Shed Review

Popcorn Shed Review

Hi lovelies, and welcome back! I’ve been gifted some truly amazing popcorn by Popcorn Shed to review today, and I can’t stress enough how much I love some of these flavours. I cannot wait to share them with you!

The company was started by two cousins that just loved to bake, and experiment with popcorn and different flavours. (In their garden shed, of all places – hence Popcorn Shed.) I’ve tried experimenting with popcorn myself with Joe Wicks’ Chocolate Orange Popcorn Bars recipe, and it is difficult to get the flavour and consistency you want. When I made mine, it ended up losing most of it’s crunch. However, Laura and Sam have created the perfect recipes and have maintained texture, as well as amazing flavours!

Pictured here is the Berry-licious popcorn, and the name doesn’t lie! It was truly delicious, and probably my favourite out of all of them. I have never thought about putting the sourness of berries together with popcorn, but it works, and it works so well!

They also have other lovely, sweet flavours like Pecan Pie, Salted Caramel, Pop ‘N’ Choc and Butterly Nuts – which is a Peanut Butter and caramel popcorn, with added peanuts! I love that Popcorn Shed also add extras into their recipes, like peanuts or chunks of chocolate, to give it more texture and an experience that is a bit more than just eating popcorn.

If you’re more of a salted popcorn kind of person, then check out their savoury recipes – Say Cheese! and Sweet Cheesus. Not only does the second one give me a bit of a giggle because of the name, but it has an interesting taste, too. And I’m actually quite obsessed with it!

Sweet Cheesus is a mix of their cheddar cheese and their salted caramel popcorn. Now, I would have NEVER put these two together in my wildest dreams – but it works! It’s a quirky taste that, at first, you think what is happening in my mouth? But after a few pieces, your heart as been stolen. It’s a total twist on the “sweet and salted” mix, which I LOVE! If you’re a sweet and salted fan, I’m sure you will love Sweet Cheesus, too!

Even Alfie approves of Popcorn Shed! (He couldn’t help but wiggle his way into my photos to check out what smelt so good.)

Since it is the festive season, these would make a perfect gift for a loved one. If you’ve set a budget, and bought your main present but have a couple of pounds to spare, then problem solved!

Popcorn Shed have a selection of gift sets you can buy on their website. You can get get a snack pack of the small packets, any of the larger “sheds” shown at the back of the display, or a glass jar filled with popcorn. Personally, I love the look of the glass jars! They can also be reused around the house or in the kitchen after all the popcorn is gone. They’re all very affordable as well, not to mention yummy!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope I haven’t made you too hungry! If you want a different foodie treat to put in someone’s stocking this year, check out Popcorn Shed. I also noticed while I was on their website that they’re offering 10% discount at the moment to anybody who signs up to their mailing list. I’ve really enjoyed trying and eating every single flavour of popcorn they have to offer – I really recommend you to try them yourself!

And I’ve noticed they also sell in Superdrug, so keep an eye out next time you’re popping in!

What flavour sounds most delicious to you? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

~ Beka
