Hi my lovelies, and welcome back to another blog post! I’ve not posted anything in the last week as life is pretty hectic right now. I’m so happy to bring you guys another post today, and in collaboration with Anne, as well! Anne and I have collaborated before, and she wrote a great piece on my blog on Why You Should Visit Ireland. This time, we’re going to be talking to you about our favourite autumn essentials!
I don’t think I’m the only one when I say that I love autumn. The season for jumpers, hot chocolates and cute hat and scarf combos! Over the last week, the temperature has dropped and it’s starting to get me in the Christmas mood… but, let’s stick with autumn right now and start talking about my essentials for this season! Don’t forget to check Anne’s essentials out, too.
I might as well start with jumpers, as I mentioned them above. I’m such a jumper kind of gal, and I think I have more of them than I do tops! Whenever autumn and winter come around, and I can bring out my thick, fluffy or knitted jumpers again, I get so excited. I basically live in them. I love tucking them into my jeans with a tight belt, and layering them underneath a long, fancy coat.
Of course I love candles any other time of the year, but there’s something wonderful about the spicy, autumn scents. I recently bought some cute ones off of Etsy – one of which was called “Gran’s Pumpkin Pie”. I couldn’t imagine burning something like this any other time of the year, but I wish I could. It smells so delicious!
Breakfast tea is great, but fruit teas are amazing on a cold morning. I was recently sent some amazing flavours by Adagio Teas (so stay tuned for that post!). I’m loving nut or spicy teas at the moment – anything spice is essential for autumn. My favourite thing to do right now is curl up on the couch on a Tuesday night, with my mug of spiced tea, and watch Bake Off.
Knitting (and Blankets)
Or if you aren’t into knitting, any other hobby you have that takes you away from social media for awhile. Don’t get me wrong, wrapping yourself up in a blanket and writing some blog posts is lovely, but sometimes I like to take myself away from the online world. Knitting is my favourite thing to do! The repetition is so soothing, and you always get something cute out of it.
Again, you can wear boots any other time of the year, but to me they scream autumn/winter. Especially knee-high boots! Crunching around in the leaves in chunky boots – could you get anymore autumn? I’m loving wearing them every day without feeling like my feet or legs are sweating (I know, it’s gross – I’m sorry!).
That’s all I have for my autumn essentials. I hope you enjoyed this post, and don’t forget to check out Anne’s Autumn Essentials, too!
