Hi guys, today I’m back with a review of Matcha NOW green tea and their new flavours! I was fortunate enough that the people at Matcha NOW sent me over some bottles so I could try them out – thank you so much!
The company only started selling in the UK last year, coming over from the US, and started off with their classic matcha green tea flavour. Now they have released two new flavours – Peppermint, and Ginger & Turmeric.
The drink comes in a regular sized bottle, but has a very lovely mechanism to keep the matcha fresh. Instead of pre-mixing the matcha, there is a twist cap where the spout of the bottle would usually be. The matcha is stored in here, and you would twist it to release the powder as and when you decide to drink it! All you have to do is give it a little shake, and your fresh Matcha NOW green tea is ready to go.
First, I tried the Peppermint flavour. Usually I find peppermint flavoured teas are very strong, but this one was more subtle which I like. I think it works really well as a flavour to compliment the green tea. As well as it being a classic hot tea flavour, it is very enjoyable chilled as well, and it is recommended that you drink these chilled.
I also love how cute these bottles are! The design of the packaging is really delicate and sweet, and I especially love the colour of the Ginger & Turmeric flavour. Anything peached coloured and I’m all over it!
Moving onto the Ginger & Turmeric flavour – this one I was intrigued by the most. It’s not a very common flavour combination when it comes to teas, or at least it isn’t in the UK. Although, I do love ginger and turmeric when I am making curries or anything spiced, so I was hoping I’d really enjoy this flavour.
Again, it was a very subtle flavour and really worked alongside the matcha. It’s surprisingly really drinkable, and probably the most drinkable out of the two.
I’ve also heard that turmeric is good for your digestive system. It’s great that these teas have good health benefits, too!
Overall, I’ve had a great time reviewing these two new flavours! I think my favourite flavour out of the two is the Ginger and Turmeric. Not only do these taste great, but they are only £2.99 each! I think that’s a pretty good price for a really fresh tasting Matcha Green Tea. You can take a look at all the flavours and buy them over on the Matcha NOW website, here.
Which one is your favourite flavour?
Until next time,
